MYSA Coaching Courses
MYSA (Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association) is the Massachusetts state representative of the national U.S. Soccer Federation.

CYS encourages all coaches to obtain coaching licenses and will reimburse the cost to Charlton coaches for coaching courses. Click here for details.
Following is a brief descriptions of the courses. See this page on the MYSA Web site for more details.
The 4 Hour "G" Course:
A basic, introductory course for coaches, especially novices, of recreational, U-6 to U-10 players.
The 8 hour "F" Course:
A comprehensive, yet elemental course for coaches of young players up to U-12.
The 16 hour "E" Course:
A more ambitious course to be taken after the 8 hour "F" course for coaches of players up to U-14, with more emphasis on 11-a-side soccer.
The 36 hour "D" course:
Taken over several days, it is intended for coaches of players from 12-19. It involves a more rigorous approach to coaching and prepares coaches to "train" their teams and actively improve their performance. There are both written and performance tests for candidates.
The "C", "B", and "A" courses:
These courses are one week long. They are intensive courses for those who wish to refine their coaching expertise. These courses involve written, oral, and performance tests.
